What is Leela Therapy?

Leela Therapy is a transformative approach focused on healing & self-inquiry. Through therapeutic techniques & self-examination support, it fosters profound personal growth & realization.

Who can it benefit?

Leela Therapy is suitable for anyone seeking a happier, more fulfilling life.

It supports individuals ready to address personal suffering, aiding with challenges like anxiety, depression, phobias, PTSD, negative behavioural patterns, sense of dissatisfaction or relationship difficulties.

Additionally, it supports those on a spiritual journey of self-discovery, providing a supportive push toward deeper understanding & fulfilment.

What can I expect?

A Leela Therapist meets clients from a stance of a True Friend – a quiet mind, open heart & not taking anything personally.

From this ground of being a client is guided, through therapeutic use of NLP & rapport, to uncover their present condition (expanded understanding of presented issue) & desired condition (deep essential desire/natural aspects of self).

The journey of discovery continues to an intervention stage, with optional assistance of hypnotherapeutic trance.

It works on the following levels:

• Symptom removal (negative behaviours, thoughts & feelings)

• Emotional healing for ego strengthening (working with ego’s inherent lack of self-worth)

• Self-inquiry & insight facilitation for ego transcendence (deepening self-realization)

Insights into the structure of our ego can be aided using the ancient teaching of Enneagram of Liberation, to discover where one is identifying as self, and understand deeper causes of personal suffering.

Ramana Maharshi

What is Mindfulness?

'Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally to things as they are." (Jon Kabat-Zinn)

Mindfulness is a simple, yet powerful practice of training our attention to the present moment - and of noticing whatever arises with gentle curiosity. It is a critical foundation for looking within (at our thoughts, feelings & body sensations) through a clear, nurturing lens.

Mindfulness helps us to see our own nature - our patterns of thinking, feeling & behaving. Through practice we become more aware of the ways in which our habitual reactions can add to the stress of our everyday life. We can gain profound insight & a deep awareness which enables us to choose how we respond to whatever occurs in our life.

How can I learn mindfulness?

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course

The MBSR course is considered the gold standard in mindfulness meditation courses globally, with a growing body of research supporting its wide-ranging health & wellbeing benefits.

MBSR was developed in the 1970s to enable a wider audience to benefit from mindfulness approaches. The course explores traditional zen & vipassana practices through an accessible, secular, evidence based format. It synthesizes ancient Eastern spiritual practices with emerging findings from neuroscience, positive psychology & Mind-Body Medicine.

It is suitable for those new to meditation as well as those looking to deepen, or reconnect with, their practice. It provides tools to see within with care & curiosity.

MBSR course participants can learn to mobilize their deep inner resources to facilitate learning, growth, healing, enhance self-care, & make positive shifts in attitudes, behaviours, & relationships.

Whilst the course has been attended by millions of people globally, we are one of the few practices in India to offer the official MBSR course in-person.

We offer the MBSR course:

What is Mindfulness Kindfulness?

Kindness is integral to the practice of mindfulness. When we start to look within it is important to practice with an attitude of kindly awareness so that we can accept the imperfections we will inevitably find & forgive our monkey mind for its eternal wanderings.

Unless we connect with a sense of kindness towards ourselves & others it is impossible to find the stillness & peace within.    â€‹

What can I expect from the Mindfulness Kindfulness retreat?

The retreat will be mainly in silence, with participants guided through a series of meditation and kindness practices. These may involve gentle movement. There will also be time for personal exploration & inner reflection.

The session will include a focus on a particular aspect of mindfulness (such as the attitudes or body/ thoughts/ emotions), which will change monthly, along with practices to connect to our innate kindness & compassion.

Participants can be seated on chairs, cushions or lying on a mat as preferred.

Who is it suitable for?

The retreats are suitable for those new to meditation as well as those looking to deepen, or reconnect with, their practice.

What is Miksang?

Miksang means ‘Good Eye’ in Tibetan. It is a form of contemplative, mindful photography. It is based on the Dharma Arts of Chogyam Trungpa.

Miksang's focus is not on technique, but on discovering a moment of fresh, direct perception where the world stops us out of the blue and wakes us up to something deep and true. Open to the present moment, meet the world as it is, and let its ordinary magic erupt in front of you.   â€‹

What can I expect from the Miksang Mindful Photography session?

The sessikon will begin with a short introduction to Miksang, to give you an understanding of the basic elements & help you tune in to the freshness of your 'good eye' Most of the session will be for you to explore the ordinary world with your camera & see what stops you & wakes you up.

It should be noted that this is not an official Miksang training, but simply a chance to experience this approach which works to align the heart, mind & eye.

Who is it suitable for?

The session does not require any prior knowledge or training. All that is needed is something (camera/phone) to snap pictures with.
